Whip up this tie-side crochet vest to see you through the summer heatwave.
Inspired by the sweater-vest and crop top trend, this tie-side vest offers a casual wearable alternative. The raised treble stitches along the neckline draw the eye, while the tapered shoulders create a flattering shape (and protect from the sun).
Created while I was dreaming of long summer days at the beach, the raised and textured stitches hint at rippled sand, exploring the dunes or walking along the shoreline. It would look great over a bright summer dress, with linen shorts, or thrown over a swimming costume. You could even make it in wool or acrylic for a cosy version to layer over long sleeves and roll necks in the cooler months, which has gone straight on my to-make list!

It was really lovely to meet you on the beach at Ferring a few weeks ago. I soooo enjoyed taking photos of you and your delightful crochet vest. I’m not sure which photos were the ones that I took, but I do recognise at least the first two. You are evidently a highly creative person and I do wish you every success with your amazing business. Wish that I could crochet, so that I could whip off this lovely vest!
Best wishes
